You are not supposed to say that! After everyone knows it was stupid Christians who opposed every advance of medicine and science!.

This is the legacy of the conflict idea of science and religion which fuelled both scopes trial and today's problems.

  A stance ridiculed by Richard Franklin, Ben's older brother. The resulting ban on publication led to Ben being nominally put in charge of publication. Sometimes the "enlightened" folks have supported the wrong side in scientific debates.
