I've known about this for months, and I know we already talked about this
on the list. The short version is as follows.
Hoving is simply a joke, an old fashioned snake-oil salesman whom even the
mainstream creationists realize is just an irresponsible peddler of trash.
His alleged "doctorate" is also a joke. I have seen the dissertation, and I
would not give it a passing grade if it had been written by a sophomore. It
is literally from a diploma mill. The fact that outside agitators are
bringing him to Dover--just as an outside agitator showed one of his videos
in the Dover fire hall during the trial last fall--only adds insult to the
many injuries that the Dover community has already suffered. I literally do
pray for them.
We do have plans in the works to respond to the Dover situation in
responsible ways, but I am not prepared at this point to show our hand. The
good people there deserve better than they've gotten thus far, a lot
better.
