"ACTS & FACTS" for March 2006

The cover letter illustrates the YEC problem well. An unidentified
"Orthodox Jewish science professor" is quoted as saying (or writing, ICR
does not say which): "The whole enterprise of science is to explain life
without invoking supernatural explanations."

1. ICR frequently quotes people w/o identifying them, or giving a source,
or even a time frame.
2. ICR asserts that the above indicates the "practicing Jews deny God's
rightful place in their thoughts." What a leap!

ICR asserts that the claim "science equals naturalism" is false. They
consider themselves "Soldiers of the King."

Well -- what else this month? There will be a study tour of Death Valley
and Yosemite Sept 16-23. Cost $2000. Evidences of the Flood will be the
focus.

The RATE conference has been packaged as a DVD for use in creation
seminars.

ICR research is now focused on the Yosemite/Death Valley region. The
Flood evidence is extensive.

The GENE project is underway.

There is an article on the ear illustrating divine design.

First Baptist Church in Dallas (the BIG one -- had a four week series by
ICR.

Jerry Bergman wrote on "Theistic Evolution and the Creation-Evolution
Controversy." He makes much of the "fact" that many scientists have
abandoned evolution "because the scientific evidence does not support
it." 1482 American physicians, polled last year, 60% of Muslim, 63% of
Protestant, 49% of Catholic and 18% of Jewish doctors supported Creation
or Intelligent Design. Interesting article. It's on the ICR web site.

Henry Morris has an article (presumably his last) on ID -- "Insufficient
Design."

John Morris concludes with an article on the spherical earth. He compares
evolution to "flat earth thinking."
