@ Regardless of how "good or bad" the Alliance
for Science is, the average person on the street
(most of whom profess to be "Christians") won't
believe them when they say, "The Alliance for
Science is a nonpartisan organization. The views
expressed by Mr. Mooney are his own."

As I said before, as long as scientists use
atheists and atheist sympathizers as "featured
speakers" at their meetings - they will NEVER
make any headway in their efforts to persuade the public to listen to them.

Guys like Chris Mooney, himself, know that - so
he actually thinks he and his friends can fool
people by "acting different", and having a "positive message".

"...My experience with the nation's atheist
community generally--and I speak from
considerable experience--is that few of its
members think very strategically about how to
achieve their goals. They're too angry, too ready
to pop off about religion, too quick to file
lawsuits, too eager to offend people. This is
not, in my opinion, how you achieve positive
cultural change. If you want to advance the cause
of atheism and cut through societal prejudices,
why not put out some positive messages for once,
about how atheists have morals, have families,
have fun, own houses, contribute to society?
" ~ Chris Mooney - Washington correspondent for
Seed and senior correspondent for The American Prospect.

~ Janice .. who would not waste her time going
to hear this rat, but who might, if she lived
near-by, make sure everyone attending the meeting
knew of his above-referenced statement. :)

Comment:

It's where the nutcase left and the loony right come together, I guess.

We've already seen that the difference between
many conservatives and liberals is the motivation
behind their using the government to advance a
social agenda. The agenda differs, but the results are sadly the same.
