Armenians from Eastern Europe settled in the Armenian plateau where the kingdom of Urartu was and the mixing of the two people created the modern Armenians. I am one example of them.

In the Enmerkar myth, Inanna is courted by Enmerkar, king of Uruk, and by the king of Aratta as well. In the end, she chooses Enmerkar, king of Uruk, and Aratta concedes defeat, but the city is not destroyed by Enmerkar."
 
Rohl equates Aratta with Urartu and Ararat. If that is the case then Urartu dates back to long before 2900 BC. In fact, Rohl looks for Eden in this region. Gilgamesh dates to 2800 BC and Enmerkar is his grandfather. So you can do the math.

Some things to look for: Utu is the sun-god, so "Enmerkar, the son of Utu" is called the son of that god. "E-ana of Unug" has been equated with "Enoch," the city Cain built, later Nimrod's Erech, the Sumerian Uruk. "Martu land" is where the "Martu" come from. The Sumerians referred to the Accadians as the "Martu" coming from this land. "Lord of Eridug" "Eridug" is Eridu, the first city in Mesopotamia, home of Adapa, and where I believe the Garden of Eden was located.
 
"Inana, the lady of all the lands, has surrounded Aratta, on its right and left, for her like a rising flood. They are people whom she has separated from other people, they are people whom Dumuzid has made step forth from other people, who firmly establish the holy words of Inana. Let the clever champion and the ...... of Dumuzid whirl about! Quickly, come now, ....... After the flood had swept over, Inana, the lady of all the lands, from her great love of Dumuzid, has sprinkled the water of life upon those who had stood in the face of the flood and made the Land subject to them."
 
 "Dumuzid" is Dumuzi the fifth king on the pre-flood king list who courts the goddess Inana. He is also known by his Hebrew name "Tammuz" mentioned in Ezekial.

In the Accadian legend, Adapa gained entrance to heaven by flattering Dumuzi. "At the gate of Anu," Adapa told Dumuzi how much he was missed on earth. A thirty-eight line liturgical hymn to the departed Dumuzi "represents the people wailing for the lord of life who now sleeps in the lower world."
 
And the prophet Ezekiel had a vision where he was "brought to the door of the gate of the Lord's house," and "there sat women weeping for Tammuz" (Eze. 8:14). Thus, because of the cult following, the prophet Ezekiel bestowed biblical recognition on the celebrated Dumuzi, the fifth pre-flood Sumerian king.
 
It all adds up.
