I will have to look at what you posted over the past month
later when I get home. And I dont have a copy of "Who was
Adam" I was a subscriber to their message of the month
for 2005 when they presented their human origins model
over a span of 12 months. And the following is my
understanding of their model, It is hard to go back over
the old monthly messages as they are not indexed, so if
any of you that have the book see anywhere that I am
misrepresenting their model please correct me.

Ross makes a special point to claim that he considers only
modern homo sapiens as human. Archaic homo sapiens,
including neanderthal, and homo erectus are not human
according to Ross. I their model God created Adam,
specially created Adam, somewhere in mesopotamia somewhere
between 50k and 100k years ago. According to Ross this
was the first individual that was identical to modern homo
sapiens. This population of humans remained small
initially, had no interbreeding with archaic homo sapiens,
and ultimately spread throughout the entire world, in a
rapid fashion after Noah and the flood. All human beings
are related to Adam through Noah. He cites mtDNA evidence
to prove that everyone is related to Eve.

He cites much evidence to support his model. But ignores
others. For example he makes the claim that the image of
God could be detected in man's behavior. And that one of
the behaviors he would only expect from humans, is worship
and concern of an afterlife. He doesnt mention evidence
of neanderthal burial rites. Also, he only mentions mtDNA
and Y chromosome DNA evidence, and ignores autosomal DNA
evidence, etc., etc.

For David:

In one of the talks Fuz Rana does mention that he thinks
that Adam was fashioned out of existing material. He
claims that the special creation, the bara verb, is
referring to Man being made in God's image. but that he
would expect us to look like other animals, (and
presumably have some DNA similarities.)
