I agree with Dick Fischer that YEC is still wrong, but I agree with Merv
that there are some YECs who do not do the same old, same old; there are
some who are honest about the evidence and their reasons for believing the
YEC position *in spite of* the evidence.

In addition to Kurt Wise, examples would include Paul Nelson and John Mark
Reynolds. There may be others I am not thinking of at the moment.

They are not willfully ignorant of modern science, quite the contrary; they
are willfully accepting the view that presently science does not support
their position, but that at some point (they hope) it will. Granted, I
doubt this will happen, but the attitude here is fundamentally different
from the Gish/Morris/Sarfati/Mortenon etc view. And we need to praise them
for this and be open to conversation with them.
