I received information about a discussion on the proper role of
science, religion, evolution, etc. issues in education and politics.
It is in the Oxford Round Table series of symposia (the University of
Oxford, UK). Does anyone know anything about this? It sounds
academically respectable, but it's rather pricy ($2895; guest ca.
$1900), especially for someone not fully employed.
The title is Science and Faith: The Great Matter and it is July 23-28
(basically concurrent with the bivalve conference in Barcelona). The
website at www.oxfordroundtable.co.uk basically just has registration
forms (requiring knowing the title and date), information about past
events, info about the host college, etc. Does anyone know anything
about this program? Does anyone want to attend?
