RE: Politically Incorrect Science

OK, I stand corrected. What I thought Janice had written was simply a
regurgitation of what somebody else had written. I should have looked at
the first few lines a bit closer. My only excuse (lame as it is) that it
was Monday morning. Mea culpa :-(

As to what's reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally bothering me now? Maybe falling into the
trap of assuming that the e-mail in question was an original thought. The
text itself didn't bother me all that much; I've heard it all before in one
form or another.

Hmmm... Janice writes, "I have been writing a book. Regnery Publishing is
putting out a "Politically Incorrect Guide" series, and mine is the third,
The Politically Incorrect Guide to ... Science .... (Guides to American
History and to Islam are already out.)" At the end of her long e-mail, she
states, " Tom Bethell is a senior editor of The American Spectator and
author of the new book, The Politically Incorrect Guide to Science."

Unless "writing a book" and "author" are not synonymous, I wonder which
statement reflects the truth.

### A careful reader would have noticed that not only did I not say I was
writing a book, I didn't write ANYTHING. The only person who wrote anything
at all in what I posted, was Tom Bethell.

So what is it that's reeeeeeeeeeeeeally bothering you? :)

READERS MAY HAVE NOTICED that science has been my preoccupation lately. That
is because I have been writing a book.
