This is interesting. Last night I was preparing another note on the energy situation but decided against posting it here. One gets tired of being a Jeremiah and many even today don't think this is an important issue. When I published on this 5 years ago in PSCF, several people thought the concept daft. Today it is becoming mainstream
I was struck by the fact that the guy knew how little the world is finding today. All year long I have asked people if there has been a signficant discovery this year--over 500 million barrels. so far, no one can think of one. Maybe one is out there (it is a big world) but no one seems to have heard of it.
The sad thing about oil is that now, when we really need free markets, the political situation in the Middle East will make it impossible to maximise oil production.
