Nancy Pearcey had written:

Well Nancy, it looks like you're digging yourself deeper.

I could think of "capitalism" and "market economy" being
the cause for all kinds of terrible abuse in the world.
Afterall, capitalism is explotation of human beings for
personal gain, and gain, as you know, can lead to love of
money, and love of money to sin. God brought down the
house of Isreal and Judah because justice did not flow
like a river. God destroyed the temple and the city of
Jerusalem because the people in power did not listen
to the cries of the oppressed. Those people in power were
capitalists as much as you and I. Therefore, we will be
brought down by God, because we too mistreat the foreigner,
we don't give a hoot about the oppressed, and we don't
care the justices is done in the courts.

But even more to the point, any kind of "system" can be used
for good or evil. Some people get worked up about Islamic
theocracies. Christian theocracies can also be very dangerous.
One such example from history led to the Spanish Inquisition.
I'm sure they had a perfectly fine explantion to say to God.
The Bible is a fine book, but like a fly in the
ointment, little distortions with the good word have done
unimaginable harm to God's name and have sullied the truth.

by Grace alone we proceed,
Wayne
