The anthropic principle says that the universe we perceive must be of such a nature that will produce and accommodate beings who can perceive it. Can someone tell me, why is this not equivalent to ID?

With the recent discussion on the screening of "The Privileged Planet" at
the Smithsonian, I thought that list members might be interested in the
