An unprecedented event will take place next month, when the Smithsonian
natural history museum airs "The Priviledged Planet," the film based on the
book by Jay Richards (discovery institute) and astronomer Guillermo
Gonzalez.
I read this book last spring. It's excellent, IMO, and very different in
approach from most ID books. Among other things, it's not possible to
confuse this type of ID with YEC. I also heard Guillermo Gonzalez speak
about this at a conference in DC last summer, where I also heard Steven Barr
talk about his book. If you read only one ID book this year, read this one.
I'd be interested in reading opinions from other ASAers.
I learned about the event in a private post from Denyse O'leary, thus the
reference to her website. Unless I missed it somewhere, I don't think she
sent this information to the list. If she did, sorry to make you delete a
second announcement.
Here's the information as she presents it. I don't have any further
information myself. If I can get a ticket, I might try to go.
