Thus, you address Dawkins at his atheism where he is weak rather than his
science where he is strong. As a former atheist, McGrath has a wonderful
opportunity. Amongst secular evolutionists I sense the Dawkins wing
weakening to the Gould wing with his non-overlapping magesterial
authorities. McGrath is encouraging that trend. ID because it buys into
Dawkins' warfare model but picks the other side encourages a hardening in
Dawkins' direction amongst secular scientists. Fortunately, the secular
scientists appear to be showing self-control and resisting that temptation
(at least so far).
