In the Christian faith, eternal life is there but hard to conceive while we are alive. Therefore, what is a few years on earth compared to eternity? The consequence of the Fall of Man was part of the creation. Perhaps, the suffering we see and experience is there to elicit in us the reaction that God wants in order to change us in the direction He wants us to go. Besides, what is our suffering compared to the suffering of the Son, who was blameless?

Life and death and regeneration go hand in hand. God's grand plan must
have incorporated physical death. But we are talking about the manner of
death here through debilitating disease. If The Designer conceived of
these genetic diseases and unleashed them to cause suffering and death,
then by all means, in the interest of full disclosure incorporate this idea
into the ID message and see how it plays in Kansas.
