Just looked at the NBC bit dealing with YEC - part of their "Faith in America" series. Only part was on YEC - they started with statistics on American's beliefs re human origins - 55% "biblical", 44% YEC, 33% evolution. (I may be a couple of % points off.) No discussion of, e.g., how TE fits into that. Then they spent some time on Campus Crusade spring break evangelism actrivities with no references to creationism &c. Then they had short segments on Hovind & Ham's setups with sound bites from those two - together with a critic equating biblical creationism with flat-earthism. Overall it was suggestive of "progress" being made by YECs but hardly indicative of any "consolidation of victory."
