Fwd: Christian intolerance editorial

I don't know what the writer's real agenda is, but he's absolutely
right that Christians are often extremely intolerant and arrogant,
IMO. After one of Burgy's posts a while back, I checked out
godhatesfags.com and was appropriately nauseated. As the writer says,
religious people are often the worst advert for the religious life,
and sadly, I think that's true.

I would have to add, sadly that IMO intolerance is frequently shown in
this list by both sides of the Evolution-Creation debate to those on
the other side (and indeed, not just on this list). The question
from the article:

"Why do you respect my religion when the others don't?"

rings uncomfortably true. All too often, we don't respect people of
our own religion, let alone other religions.
