I'm aware that the legal issues have been dealt with - which of course
doesn't mean that the law will never be changed. I was simply trying to
make make the necessary distinctions between different - though of course
related - issues.

Though the legal standards are fairly well defined, the theological &
ethical ones are not for many Christians, & for others their theological &
ethical views are in conflict with the legal standards.
