Hi Jack, you wrote:
Is there evidence or not for
genetic mingling between neanderthal and sapiens?
There is, but like all the evidence in man's origins it does not make an
airtight case. Neanderthals had red hair. As you know, black
hair is the norm for all races outside of Europe where the Neanderthals
were concentrated. Intermixing of
H sapiens with
Neanderthals might explain why only Caucasians have light hair.
Also, Neanderthals had a sloping forehead, heavy jaw, and a bun at the
base of their skulls that acted as a counterweight so their heads would
stay straight. Caucasians who originate from Europe have a flat
forehead and a small bump at the base of their skulls. Neanderthals
had a heavy build and Caucasians from that area tend to be heavier in
build than other racial types.
Again, this does not make a conclusive case.

They claim they will use the latest genetic evidence yes. I have
not yet heard what they are going to say about it. I will pass it
on, but I doubt you will listen to anything they have to say

Ross is committed to a belief regardless of the data. We talked
years ago and he told me he offered to spend three days with the YEC
crowd in San Diego in an effort to convince them. They gave him his
three days and were unpersuaded by it. So I made him the same offer
which he refused. He's willing to teach, but not willing to
learn. That attitude only gets us into trouble.
I would like to hear constructive,
rational corrections/criticisms of what they have to say, ad hominems are
inappropriate and are not constructive.
I agree. But if an apologist opens his mouth and closes his ears he
deserves criticism. And this is broadly true across the spectrum -
Kennedy, Colson, Ross, etc. Don't bother them with facts when they
"got the truth."

"Do you think they want criticism? God forbid they might
actually learn something in the process!"
I dont know. I think anyone that is honest with themselves knows
that there is always something to learn. It is not possible for any
of us to know everthing.
And that's the value of a forum like this. Ross could at least put
one of his minions here and do a little research.
