I went to a YEC presentation here in Tucson on Walt Brown's hydroplate theory
as an explanation for Noah's flood yesterday. Some months ago I read a book
written by him. One of his many claims was that the asteroids were ejected
from the earth into space, and into the asteroid belt. I knew this was complete
nonsense, but I did some calculations anyway, and wrote up a document. On
hearing about his theory being presented here, I decided to tidy up the
document, convert it into HTML, and put it online. It is at
http://www.csharp.com/creationism.html , then click on the second link.
People putting out such nonsense in the name of Christ do enormous harm to
Christianity, and atheists and agnostics who have some training in science
ridicule Christianity.
