My "approach" is very general -- there are probably 100s of possible ways to implement it. Most would not work, I agree. I do not agree that every such approach is w/o merit.

Yep. Although as a sometimes member of the ACLU, I'm not at all sure thay would object. As for "non-C scientists," they would not object to the GOALS of such an aproach. I don't know about judges. Roy Moore would certainly get bent out of shape.
