Greetings:
Several years ago I asked list members if they would contribute their
'story' to the ASA website.
<http://www.asa3.org/ASA/topics/AboutScience/ListServAutobios.html#Autobiographies>
Your response was much more than I had expected.
In 2004 ~600 individuals opened the page ~ 1100 times. Some have
commented on the value of this section of the ASA site.
Since the our readership has changed over the years since we last asked
for contributions, I would like to renew the opportunity.
You may want to look at the above* url* to get a picture of what others
have offered.
I am looking for your story - set in the form you want. I will remove
your name and obvious identifying materials from your statement, yet a
list of publications will identify you to someone who wants to dig hard
enough. My feeling is that the story is the more important feature.
Here are some things you might include:
/age, gender, current employment, educational background, vocational
background, spiritual background, science-faith development and other
interests./
*Please send your accounts privately to Jack Haas: haas.john@comcast.net
*I may edit your autobio slightly for the reasons that editors always give.
With appreciation,
Jack Haas, ASA Wed Editor
