AIG notes for their weekly "news" letter.
------------------------------------
Hear Ken Ham on the Michael Reagan Show this evening!
The Michael Reagan Show (the son of President Reagan) hosts one of the
most popular radio-talk shows in America (200 stations). At 6:00 pm EST
tonight (Thursday), Ken Ham, President of Answers in Genesis, will be
interviewed on the hottest topics of our day—racism, evolution in public
schools, homosexual activism, etc. The guest host will be Brannon Howse,
President of American Family Policy Institute.
-----------------------------------
That one was last week. AIG is expanding both its outreach (with RR
organizations and activists) and in the topics it wants to confront. I
think they are on a roll.

----------------------------------------
Q: Isn't evolution much more than the idea of millions of years, fossil
men, and so on?

A: In a very broad sense, evolution is really a whole philosophy of life
that teaches that man, by himself, can determine truth. Most people, when
they consider evolution, think about millions of years of earth history,
or transitional forms, apemen, or life evolving from chemicals. But this
is just a part of what evolution is all about.

People who don't accept the authority of God’s Word have to find an
explanation about where the universe and life came from.
Because they reject the Word of God, they’re saying, in effect, that man
by himself can determine truth. On the other hand, Christians should
recognize that man can’t find truth by himself—we must start with the One
who is truth, Who has given us all the answers we need to come to right
conclusions.

Sadly, Christians who accept evolution are really saying that man can
come to truth by himself, and then fallible man can reinterpret God’s
Word accordingly. Christians need to realize that evolution is an
anti-God religion—it’s not the answer!
------------------------------------------
Ken Ham, Jonathan Sarfati and the rest of AIG are what I call "binary
thinkers." The last paragraph above is symptomatic of that. Ken does not
recognize that one may fully accept the last sentence of paragraph 2 and
totally reject paragraph 3.

---------------------------------------------
Q: The Bible tells us that all the land animals that God sent to Noah
stayed on the Ark for a whole year. How could they have survived ‘cooped
up’ for that long?

A: This is a good question. If Noah had all of these land animals on
board, including dinosaurs, how could he feed and take care of them? In
fact, many skeptics challenge Christians with this question to discredit
the truth of this account.

The Bible doesn’t reveal all the details about what happened on the Ark,
but we do know that God was in total control of the situation. In fact,
there’s a verse in Genesis that states, ‘And God remembered Noah.’
There’s no doubt that God supernaturally looked after the Ark and its
precious cargo.

Having observed the behavior of animals, we can offer some suggestions.
Biologists know that most animals seem to have the ability to hibernate.
It’s possible that for some animals God supernaturally intensified this
ability during the time of the Flood so that the animals’ body functions
were at a minimum and their food requirements would have been very small.
They probably would have slept most of the time. And there may have been
other techniques.

Whatever the question, it’s vital to believe the book of Genesis!
-------------------------------------------------
The "arm waving" and "sputtering" in the above is all too painfully
obvious. Miracle "ad hocs" "There’s no doubt that God supernaturally
looked after the Ark," "suggestions," "It's possible that," "probably
would have slept," "may have been other techniques."

The closing sentence is also of interest. "Vital to believe... ."

Boggles the mind.
