In the Introduction of _Invitation to Conflict - A Retrospective Look at
the California Science Framework_ by Mark Hartwig and P.A. Nelson
(published by Access Research Network, 1992), pp vii, viii:

"The message here is that teachers should not present data independently
of Darwinist interpretations.

Heeding this advice, the California Academy of Sciences opened a major
exhibit at its Golden Gate Park museum... While visiting the exhibit, I
found that the most interesting display was one that showed several
fossils linked together in a way that was intended to show their
evolutionary relationships...

There are several problems with this display, but two are particularly
serious...

I have visited the display three times (for a total of five hours) and
have never seen a single visitor look through these magnifying glasses."

[Introduction written by John L. Wiester, Chairman, Committee for
Integrity in Science Education, American Scientific Affiliation,
Buellton, CA.]

The display was (is?) real and the distortions of fact were apparently an
intentional effort to promote Darwinist dogma at the expense of
scientific integrity.
