Ohio is not so far from my where I was born ... and I
always saw Ohio-ans as quite reasonable folk.

This evolution Vs creationism (E/C) issue seems more
about emotion than reason. I think the only way we can
overcome this foolishness is to live exemplary Christian
lives: lives the contribute both toward the recognizable
advancement of science and lives that reveal a Christ
centered way of living and dealing with others. If
other Christians can see Christ in us, they will no
longer fear evolution because we are not bothered by it.

I know many of you all are working hard at it, but just
remember that God is where your strength must come from.
Being intellectual, I have too often relied on my reason
and my knowledge to solve problems. But we are dealing
with something that knowledge and reason cannot fix.
Throughout the day, we must worship and pray passionately
because that is __all__ we have. It is a great burden on us,
but maybe it always has been this way in every generation
and we have just been lulled into thinking that it is somehow
easier now.

When the exiles came back from Babylon, they
understood Grace, but not more than a few generations later,
they became Pharisees and a problem to Jesus. We must take
care that we are also not blinded in a similar way -- which can
easily happen as the bible shows. So the only way this is going
to change is when people begin to see Christ in us.

None of this is easy, and we can only lift up our hands
at the end of the day because only God's Grace can navigate
us through this treacherous journey.

by Grace alone we proceed,
Wayne
