Is ASA a better way to invest in the future? ---- versus other
opportunities?>>
30 or so years ago, when I first joined ASA, I thought so,
As much as I cherish the ASA interactions and intellectual stimuli, I
don't really know the answer anymore.
I spend some time on Theologyweb.org trying to bring some reason to the
YECers who inhabit that interesting site. But I don't kid myself that I
am doing more than putting out trash fires when the forest is burning. At
best -- a delaying action. But it gives me the chills when I think that
my grandchildren will likely inheirit a country where YEC is the
establishment and religious fundamentalism will be part of our legal
system.
I know -- I know. Most people here don't think it will ever come to that.
I hope they are right. I would not bet on it.
