Paul is a philosopher of biology, specializing in evolutionary biology. I
agree this is relevant information, but I think it's true that many
philosophers of science (Ruse, Kitcher, etc) have been in the middle of the
origins conversation; their knowledge of the science itself has often seemed
strong, at least to this non-scientist who also knows a lot of science.

Paul N. is very bright, but I don't think he considers himself to be a
scientist, but a philosopher. Is that true? I think his field/lab bench
experience is quite limited. Has he taken organic chemistry or
    comparative
    anatomy?
