    It seems to me that the current situation is as bad as it can get. Namely, that
    there really is a war between the YECs and the non YECs on this list. Given
    this, Satan has already won. Now is there an alternative?

    I would suggest that there is. Instead of the "I am right and you are wrong"
    debate and the "take no prisoners" attitude, it should be possible to have an
    intelligent dialog. It could start on this list (IMO).

    There are 2 competing world views and two competing notions of the consequences
    of "the other guy's" world view. Am I the only one who can sympathize with both
    sides? Instead of beating each other over the head could we not discuss the
    problem like intelligent Christians -- or does everyone think that it is too
    far gone? perhaps Terry could even set up a separate list where those who are
    interested could discuss without the flak from the rest of the group. Any
    takers?
