1. Wells and other ID advocates are strategically silent on the issue of a
Noachian Flood. Perhaps that is because they wish to keep the political
support of the YEC community for whom a recent global flood is essential.
2. If advocates of ID did affirm a recent global flood, however, it would
certainly be rich ground for a flurry of "intelligent design events"
(non-natural form-conferring interventions by an unidentified, unembodied,
choice-making agent) to bring about the lightning-fast burst of
diversification that would have to have occurred in the past few thousand
years.
