I see Sarah has more than adequately replied to this one. At a distance
of 15 years, I won't defend Kitcher or his book; suffice it to say that
book led me into reading a great many others on the subject, all of which
made the ICR claims look sillier and sillier as I studied. Books by Ruse
and Gould, both of whom I immensely admire now, were particularly
persuasive.
