Hi Rich,
This looks like it might take a couple quick exchanges for us to get on track with each other.
My point was that Catholics and Protestants agree that salvation is through faith in Christ and His Work on the Cross. They then differ somewhat on how the salvation wrought by Christ comes to be effectuated in the life of the believer. It seems to me that it is appropriate, indeed necessary, to separate the faith/works question that divides the Ps and Cs from the more fundamental Gospel message that they agree upon.
So my question to you is this:
What is the Gospel of Christ?
