Prosperity may be a byproduct of following the teachings of Christ after one is saved. However, it is certainly not amongst the teachings of Christ. TV evangelists who make prosperity their main message are close to being con artists.

Subject: PROSPERITY
I looked up prosperity in the dictionary - which sent me to prosperous: successful, thriving, doing well, fortunate.
I find it upsetting that so many thought it was unchristian to expect prosperity.
I still think it's God's will that we all prosper.
Prosperous does not equal millionaire. One can be successful and thrive at being a monk.
Mother Theresa was prosperous. She thrived; she did well; she was succcessful, and I know she thought herself fortunate.
Hopefully that fills in the communication gap.
