            Your 1st statement is correct - at least plausible. The 2d, however, is
    quite misleading. What is indeed described in Romans 1:18-31 is the basic sin of
    idolatry which afflicts all people and the sinful consequences. I.e., as Paul describes
    it, sin against the 1st Commandment leads to all the other sins which - in the listing
    Paul gives - includes homosexual acts. Of course this doesn't mean that all people
    commit such acts, any more than all murder, gossip, &c.
