In connection with this discussion I like to point again to IIChron. 36:
22. Part of keeping the Sabbath's year was returning the land to the
original owners who had sold it because of poverty.
See also the book of Ruth, where it is mentioned that certain properties
had to be bought back and returned to the original family.
Earlier I mentioned Ezekiel 16:49, where it is stated that Sodom' sin was:
"pride, fullness of bread, and careless ease was in her and in her
daughters, but she did not strengthen the hand of the poor and needy."
