Answers in Genesis likewise portrays RTB as betraying essential truths of the faith.

In other words, they are claiming that the Gospel is not sufficient; you must also believe in creation science. (Note that they do not necessarily hold to this view; it may easily reflect failure to carefully consider the theological implications of their assertion).

Paul disapproves of such claims; note especially Galatians 1.
