Stein,
I was not advocating the adoption of this as a general mathematical
principle, but rather to offer further reason for believing the Greek form
of the Lord's name to be a most remarkable structure - one
deserving of careful consideration.
It is surely worth noting, (a) that the uniquely symmetrical number 37 is a
subtle derivative of 64 (square of 8 and cube of 4) - differing from it by
27 (the cube of 3) - and, (b) that the cube is a biblical symbol of holiness
(1Ki.6:20, Rv.21:16) - hence an appropriate figure to be found associated
with Jesus, the "Sinless One".
