    This might be amusing but there are a number of other works of this
    genre. In 1819 (!)
    Richard Whately, who later became Archbishop of Dublin, wrote
    "Historic doubts relative
    to Napoleon Bonaparte." This & similar things are discussed briefly
    in De Morgan's _A
    Budget of Paradoxes_, Vol.1, pp.246-248.
