3 Nephi 22 is essentially Isaiah 54, though I haven't checked it at the
word-for-word level.
There may be other examples.
But this is presented as Christ (after his post-ascension flight
to America)
quoting Isaiah in his preaching. The heading of the chapter in my copy of TBOM
even says "Compare Isaiah 54." & while Joe certainly traded on the gullibility
of the general public, he couldn't have thought that he could pass off direct
quotes from the Bible as new discoveries. So while he was an
audacious faker, I
must exonerate him of the charge of plagiarism.
