So, how many years of Hebrew study have you had? Dust must be interpreted
more broadly than just dirt. Dust of the ground consists of about 95%
    silicon dioxide, montmorillonite [(Na,Ca)0,3(Al,Mg)2Si4O10(OH)2…n(H2O) ],
    illite [ (K,H3O)(Al,Mg,Fe)2(Si,Al)4O10[(OH)2,(H2O)] ], and other inorganic
minerals. If we were really made of dust as we use the word, we would be
    mostly metallic.

This has always been a bit of a puzzle to me about Dick's God. God says
that he reaches out to mankind, that he doesn't want anyone to perish. Yet,
here, in this view, God makes no covenant with any man until 4004 BC when he
decides that maybe he should make contact with mankind and tell them the
true theological path. It is kind of like an afterthought-- as if God said,
"Oh, what are those funny creatures walking on two sticks and yabbering like
crows? Maybe I should speak with them." Of course it matters not that
nearly 10 billion people were left without any communication with God--not
even a communication they could reject. God didn't care enough to
communicate with them in any fashion--he left them to their own devices.
    What a loving God!

I must correct something I wrote a few weeks back about how many people had
ever lived on earth. I think I had written that there were 6 trillion. I
mis-read some numbers and was way the heck wrong. There have been 105
Billion people alive since 50,000 years BC. That is where I got the 10
billion people cited above. God would have left to their own devices in
    Dick's scenario.

Jim, you don't know how happy I am for you and Dick that people like you
are supporting his views rather than mine.
