To Christopher, who got his Ph. D. at St. Andrews: St. Andrews is only
about 80 miles south of Aberdeen. If we weren't so far north, I would say
that distance wouldn't make much difference to the rising and setting sun,
but you would know that isn't true.
To our new pharmacist, Paul Seeley: Thanks for the prescription of
melatonin. I hadn't thought of that. I had just thought how weird it was
that I actually like the winters better than the glorious summers here. Do
hyperactive birds need melatonin?
To Stuart: I live in Peterculter Scotland on the western edge of Aberdeen as
most people here knew, so it seemed redundant to make that clear.
