Sorry to be so late responding to your postings of Sunday last. I'll deal with
the shorter one first and take your questions in reverse order:
(1) I am not the father of your friend, Ray Jenkins of TX. My home is in South
Wales, UK.
(2) Concerning the authority of Scripture: in my recent posting to Christopher I
offered a line of reasoning which, for the Christian, proves the the Bible to be
a body of revealed truth. That being so, it must follow that the reader look no
further for a relaible account of origins. In all other fields science is
clearly a valid and effective tool - furthering man's understanding of the
physical world and cosmos, and providing the basis for technological progress.
(3) I believe every facet of what had been pronounced "very good" was corrupted
by the Fall. Clearly, the truths discovered by science relate to this fallen
creation.
