    >God intended to destroy 'all flesh wherein is the breath of life from under heaven...' (Gn.6:17). It all seems clear enough - but obviously not to an evolutionist. However, I'm glad you agree that He is not constrained.<

The destruction of all that breathed was also commanded to Joshua (Dt. 20:16; Josh. 10:40, 11:11,14). Yet he only destroyed the Canaanites who did not convert and some of their domestic animals. Was Joshua an evolutionist?

God is not unable to do things because of our limited abilities, but He does generally limit Himself in interaction with us. The usual way of learning about Him is through the reading and teaching of His Word. Jesus did not start by giving the disciples a miraculous flash of insight but rather taught in ordinary ways. Their limits frequently constrained this approach, but He stuck with it. Even after the giving of the Spirit, they could be slow on some points (e.g., integrating the Gentiles).
