    I asked the crow out on my front lawn why he didn't have four legs. He told
    me that creatures with four legs (including, notably, humans) were inferior
    animals, and that creatures with two legs and two wings were obviously
    superior to creatures with four legs. He claimed that this arrangement had
    nothing to do with functionality in particular, and that functionality had
    nothing to do with survival rates, and that survival rates had nothing to
    do with biological evolution. He told me that none of that was necessary
    since it was all operated from behind the scenes supernaturally. He said
    that this arrangement of two legs and two wings was obviously an arbitrary
    design feature by a designer not limited by any kind of natural constraints.
    He then took a few more pecks at the dead, four-legged squirrel in front of
    him, gave me a final look of superiority, and flew away.

    And then I saw this dragonfly zoom by...
