Greetings:
Five of the 1999-2000 Templeton/ASA Lecture videos are now available on the
ASA web page http://www.asa3.org/ASA/ASATempleton/Videos/index.html You
will need Real Player (free)to view them.
While streaming video is still rather crude, it has the advantage of
viewing lectures by prominent people at your desk.
Those of you connected to the web via an uncertain phone line will be at a
disadvantage compared to those with a wideband link. Let me know how these
examples look. I'd also appreciate your ideas on how the videos might be
used with students and others. We are on the next round of a funding
proposal and could use your help.
Where else can 'old earth' Howard Van Till be caught starting his talk with
'new age' music.
Thanks
Jack Haas, ASA Web Editor
Thanks Jack. That was great. It's great to put faces with the people on this
list.
Howard, what was the audience like, and was there a Q&A session after your
lecture?
