Johnson's statements seem inconsistent with his own actions.
1. To my knowledge Phillip Johnson has never corrected any of the
obvious errors revealed in "Darwin on Trial" by Denis Lamoureux in
Phillip E. Johnson and Denis O. Lamoureux. Darwinism Defeated?: The
Johnson-Lamoureux Debate on Biological Origins. Vancouver: Regent
College, 1999. Some examples: His mistaken understanding that
evolutionary biologists believe whales evolved from rodents (none
believe this) and his suggestion that there exists only one dubious
transitory form in the fossil record between land mammals and
whales (Lamoureux discusses the significance of seven documented
transition species).
2. He doesn't feel it important to point out the many Creationist
myths (e.g. the Paluxy river) among those he is courting for support.
Might it be reasonable to ask for some consistency in a representative
of the Christian community.
