PS to others on the ASA list: This is almost a textbook example of
the MO of cranks: The initial approach in which the world-shaking discovery
is announced is couched in relatively polite language. As soon as any
criticism is made, however, there is a snarling response announcing that only
the crank knows the truth and that the critic just isn't able to appreciate
his greatness.
