    David Campbell posted:

"Although homosexuality is among the sins condemned in various passages,
"such were some of you" (I Cor. 6:11). "

I have to argue with that. Homosexuality is a condition, not an action.
One may be gay & not act on that condition.

The passage in question is generally interpreted to refer to male
prostitution. A decent defense of this view is in the book by Daniel
Helmaniak (see my notes on it on my web site, page 2). Helmaniak, of
course, defends some kinds* of same-sex activity as not proscribed by
scripture and thus not a "sin." But even Thomas Schmidt, who writes to
refute Helmaniak, does not cite that verse as a proof text. Notes and a
review of his book is also on my web site.

    * Specifically, activity performed in the context of a monogamous adult
long term loving relationship, one we call "marriage" when the two adults
    are of different gender.
