    Tim Ikeda wrote

"Similarly, I never worked with theist scientists (a group
including Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, & no doubt
a few other religious), who said that evolution conflicted
    with purpose"

Is it not highly likely that Buddhist would not describe themselves as
theist as Buddhist do not necessarily need to believe in a god. if one
examines Buddhist and Hindu ideas, there concept of creation is entirely
different to the Judeao- Christian concept of creation. From what I know of
there ideas they might not necessarily talk about creation at a particular
point in time recent or otherwise.

Also some Muslim expresions of creation are disimilar to Judaeo-Christian
    ideas.

In discussing science and religion, it is easy to forget that the debate is
not only about what the Bible and science says but also about what other
    religous scriptures say.
