    Perhaps I'm way to quick now, but I have read an
    excellent article treating this particular recurring
    problem, and as a matter of fact it is written by a
    Norwegian subscriber to this list, Stein Stromme at
    the University of Bergen, Norway.

    Unfortunately this article is in Norwegian, but I
    would guess (or at least hope) Stein has a good
    translated copy available.
