I am surprised you should pursue this matter. According to the
chronological sequence provided in Gen.5, the Antediluvian period of
earth history lasted 1656 years. One would suppose this to be ample time
for these early pioneers to migrate to regions remote from Eden. On an
evolutionary chronology, the likelihood would be orders of magnitude
greater. Taking either view, therefore, would you not agree that much of
the world would have been settled by the time the Flood came?
But, apart from all this, what of the terrestial animals and birds?
These were included in the Executioner's list, were they not? It is
surely even less likely that these would have confined their activities
to creation's centre.
In 2Pet.3:16 the Apostle issues a dire warning to those who, to satisfy
their own agendas, 'wrest' the scriptures. Gordon, if you (and others)
insist on the Flood being local, then - duck and dive as you will - you
cannot avoid the charge that you are guilty of manipulating God's Word.
Sincerely,
Vernon
